who is Amy Susan?
Amy Susan (that’s me) is passionate about design, teaching, parenting, sign language, yoga and computers, but not necessarily in that order. I have dabbled in various forms of art, photography, greeting cards, handmade books, delicious and yummy cold processed soap and graphic design. In need of my own web site way back when, I armed myself with Macromedia Dreamweaver (now Adobe) and the then-current version of “Idiot’s Guide to HTML” to produce many web sites.

Although I have a busy life with a part time job as an Educator for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, an awesome husband (my true companion, Gary), two dogs (Brody & Lily), two cats (Gigi & Gizmo), two teenagers (okay one is still twelve, but close enough!) and their extra-curricular activities that require Mom’s Taxi Service (and Dad’s Limo Service too), I still have enough time for yoga classes (a must) and Amy Susan Design (a passion). Whew!
I love WordPress
And I do WordPress customization. I love WordPress because it is great for small businesses, organizations or individuals alike. It is armed with many great features that make it easy to focus on creating your content without worrying about all the funky back-end coding that gets people’s heads spinning! I offer HTML or WordPress based web site (re)design, web site maintenance and WordPress support (I can speed up your learning curve). If you have any questions, I’d love to hear from you!
I am a fan…
Again, I say it. I am a fan of WordPress. Seriously, it’s awesome. After years of working with various coders to create custom WordPress web sites, I stumbled upon StudioPress. The sturdy, yet flexible Genesis Framework is pretty amazing with solid code, which makes my job easier to build great looking web sites.
Check out this 44 page manual, “The Introductory Guide to the Genesis Design Framework for WordPress.” This manual may be enough to get you cruising with your web site all by yourself! Or maybe it just reminds you that what goes on behind the scenes is just not your thing! If that’s the case, talk to me and I’ll create a web site all rocked out, just for you!
